Eric Dillner, General and Artistic Director of Shreveport Opera will be holding Shreveport Opera Xpress Studio Artist auditions throughout the season. Artists will be selected to perform the education and outreach operas as well as perform in the main stage productions. Currently, Mr. Dillner is casting for the 2008-2009 season.
Studio Artists perform roles and cover roles on the mainstage when appropriate.
Studio Artists are the principle singers for the Shreveport Opera Xpress (SOX).
The 2008-2009 SOX productions will include, but not be limited to, various one act operas such as: Hansel and Gretel, Alice in Opera Land, Herman the Horse, SOX on Broadway, and Bravo!
A new opera is being commissioned for the SOX 2007-2008 season.
SOX season runs September through mid-May.
Studio Artists are automatically semi-finalists in the Singer of the Year Competition.

If selected for a live audition, be prepared to provide a musical theatre selection in addition to operatic repertoire.
