Ken Weber most recently performed the role of the Reverend Olin Blitch in Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah, at Opera in the Ozarks this past summer. Before that, he created several roles as part of the John Duffy Composer’s Institute in Norfolk, VA, after singing the role of El Dancaire in Shreveport Opera’s production of Carmen in early May. Earlier last spring, he sang the role of the Count di Luna in Mobile Opera’s production of Il Trovatore. He has performed several roles with Mobile Opera and New Orleans Opera, where he returns this fall to sing Betto in that company’s production of Gianni Schicchi. Last summer, Mr. Weber was a studio artist with the Chautauqua Opera, where he earned the Ed Harmon Young Artist Award for distinguished performing. Upcoming engagements include covering the roles of Judge Tupin in Sweeney Todd, the Count in Le Nozze di Figaro, and Germont in La Taviata for Shreveport Opera. Mr. Weber is a native of Los Angeles and currently resides in Mobile, Alabama.
