     Christine Marie Heath performed with Shreveport Opera in 2007 as Carrie in Carousel and is excited to be returning in 2008 as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro.   
      She has established herself as a "Cross-Over Artist", who is equally at home with musical theatre as she is in opera and operetta, and her versatile career continues to gather momentum.  Christine is a well-rounded performer with proficiency in legit and belt techniques, accompanied by skillful talents in acting and dance. 
     She has sung with several theatre companies including The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players at City Center, Sarasota Opera, Toledo Opera, Natchez Music Festival, Ashlawn-Highland Opera Festival, and Ohio Light Opera. 
     Internationally, she has performed a Broadway concert series with Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy; a Sondheim revue at La Gran Theatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain; and the title role of Evita sung entirely in German at The Musik Theater Chur in Switzerland.  
     Other performance highlights include Magnolia in Show Boat, Kate in Kiss Me Kate, Sarah Brown in Guys & Dolls, and Annina in A Night in Venice, which was released on compact disc by Newport Classics. 
     In May 2008, Christine will also be returning to the Natchez Music Festival to perform the role of Laurey in Oklahoma!
