     Carlos has performed on opera stages around the world, including: New Israeli Opera, Teatro Arriaga de Bilbao (Spain), Oper der Stadt Bonn (Germany), Teatro Comunale di Brescia (Italy), Belgium, Prage, France, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Republica Dominicana, Opera Omaha, Opera Birmingham, Opera de Puerto Rico, Lyric Opera of San Antonio, Connecticut Grand Opera, Toledo Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Virginia Opera, Shreveport Opera, Augusta Opera, and the national tour with New York City Opera.
      Equally comfortable on the concert stage, Carlos made his Carnegie Hall debut with the Opera Orchestra of New York in their productions of La Gioconda and La Fanciulla del West.  He has also sung with the New York Philharmonic, under the baton of Sir Colin Davis, performing Somarone in Béatrice et Bénédict at Lincoln Center.
      In the past two years, Carlos has stage directed with the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy and the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel-Aviv. Most recently was appointed Musical Director of the Ibero-American Festival of Puerto Rico.
      A graduate of the City University of New York with Bachelor and Master of Music degrees and alumni of the Juilliard Opera Center, Conde won the Jose Moscoso Award at the 1995 Sullivan Foundation Competition, first prize in the 1989 Palm Beach Opera Competition, and in the 1992 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions he was a first place district and first place regional winner and national finalist.
     In 2007 Carlos will complete his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the Stony Brook University. He will debut with the opera company in Medellin, Colombia and will return to San Antonio for L’elisir d’amore in 2008.
