Recently hailed by The Dallas Morning News as “appealing…with nimble high notes”, Kirsten Chambers has performed with Pittsburgh Opera, Opera Illinois, The Living Opera, Halifax Summer Opera, the Moores Opera Center and Opera East Texas, among others. A past member of Shreveport Opera Young Artist Program, her favorite credits include: Musetta in La Boheme, Giulietta in Tales of Hoffmann, Konigin der Nacht in Die Zauberflote, and Frasquita in Carmen. She created the role of Saralinda in the world premiere of Christopher Theofanides’ Thirteen Clocks, and her performances of Dircea in Casanova’s Homecoming was recorded on the Newport Classics Label.
