Keith Chambers has conducted opera productions for the Living Opera (Le nozze di Figaro and Don Pasquale), Moores Opera Center in Houston ( Die Fledermaus, La finta giardiniera, and The Impresario), Opera in the Ozarks ( Don Giovanni and L'elisir d'amore), and the University of Oklahoma. As Principal Coach and Chorus Master, he has prepared productions of Der Freischütz, Les Contes d'Hoffmann, La bohème, and Casanova's Homecoming. As pianist, Mr. Chambers has appeared as concerto soloist with the Delaware Symphony, Naples Philharmonic and Clear Lake Symphony working with Erich Kunzel and Maurice Peress. A featured guest artist at the 1998 Chopin Festival in Lima, Peru, he was a grand prizewinner of the International Bartok-Kabalevsky and Beethoven Society Competitions and a laureate of the Josef Hoffmann Piano Competition. Mr. Chambers earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Miami (FL) and a Doctorate in Music from the University of Houston. He completed advanced studies in German at the Universität Leipzig and also studied piano at the Accademia di Musica in Trento, Italy.
